China's Water Sports Industry Has Been Formally Incorporated Into The National Strategic Development Plan

With the continuous improvement of China's national economic and social development level, the further acceleration of industrialization and urbanization process, the constant adjustment of residents' mode of production and way of life, and the increasing enthusiasm of the masses to participate in water sports, higher requirements have been put forward for the healthy development of water sports industry.However, due to water sports industry in China started late, there is still a open water level is not high, water sports, weak infrastructure, lack of effective supply, service innovation is not enough, industry concentration degree is low, to adapt to the aquatic sports development rule of law to perfect the policy system, to further improve international competitiveness needs to be many problems, such as greatly hindered the development of water sports industry in China.On November 8, 2016, the Water sports Industry Development Plan was released, marking that China's water sports industry has been formally incorporated into the national strategic development plan.

The Party Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the development of the sports industry, and call for vigorously carrying out supply-side structural reform, actively expanding the supply of sports products and services, and promoting the sports industry to become an important force for economic transformation and upgrading.In October 2014, the State Council put forward several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Sports Industry and Promoting Sports Consumption:

(1) Optimize the industrial layout.We will support the central and western regions in making full use of their unique natural resources, such as rivers, lakes, seas, mountains, deserts, grasslands, snow and ice, and developing sports industries with regional characteristics.

(2) Encourage interactive integration.Where conditions permit, special plans shall be drawn up to guide the development of outdoor camps, hiking service stations, auto camping sites, air flight camps, boat wharves and other facilities.

(3) Develop fitness and leisure projects.We will vigorously support the development of fitness running, fast walking, cycling, water sports, mountaineering and rock climbing, shooting and archery, equestrian, aviation, extreme sports and other sports that are popular with the public and have space for development.

In October 20016, the State Council general office and formally issued "about speed up the development of fitness and leisure industry guidance", clearly put forward to develop series of fitness leisure sports industry planning, and the development of water sports as a "perfect fitness leisure service system", one of the important measures for water sports in our country in an unprecedented development opportunity.
